ENERGY STAR Certifications
As part of our commitment to operational excellence and sustainability, more than a third of our U.S. refineries have earned an ENERGY STAR certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognizing their voluntary efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency. The certification signifies that the refinery performed in the top 25 percent of similar facilities nationwide for energy efficiency using the Solomon-EII™ scoring system and met environmental performance levels set by the EPA.
