I joined in 2017 as the Assistant Program Manager and then moved into the Program Manager position in 2018. During my time I have enjoyed both engagement with members and fellow staff. One of the greatest enjoyments I have with my current role is the development and training of staff to help them reach their full potential. Every day is different and unique which makes work fun and exciting. My wife and I have twin girls, a boy and two Golden Doodle dogs and we enjoy spending time traveling and camping together as a family.

B.S. in Sport Management from Pensacola Christian College

Certifications- EXOS Fitness Specialist, Red Cross Lifeguard

I started in August of 2019 as a Health Fitness Specialist. I greatly enjoyed that position as it gave me many diverse avenues to serve the Wellness Center members. Promoting the health and well-being of individuals through physical exercise, conducting fitness testing and assessments, and developing personal exercise programs were just a few of the fantastic opportunities that I was afforded in that position. In June of 2020, I moved into the role of Assistant Program Manager/Recreation Coordinator. In this position I support the Wellness Center Program Manager by performing various administrative duties associated with facility operations in addition to building and implementing recreational programs to engage Wellness Center members in a wide variety of ways. I am extraordinarily fortunate to be a part of the team that I work with and look forward to each and every day at work. I am not only committed to a career in fitness but also exhibit that same commitment in my personal life. My wife and I regularly take hiking trips around Oklahoma and we have both recently become quite dedicated to the combat sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Wellness Center Administrative Assistant

I joined the Wellness Center in fall of 2018, my job is unique just like the population and offerings in Bartlesville. What I love most about my job is that I never know what each day will bring. My job focus is reporting, signage, and assisting with various reservations in the Wellness Center. When I am not at work, I spend my time going on adventures with my nieces, working with the assortment of animals on my family’s ranch and learning about different time periods as well as cultures through reading and research.

Certifications: ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, Red Cross Lifeguard

I started off my professional life in gaming, where I worked for almost twelve years. Gaming was a fun career until I became a husband and shortly after, a father. Working nights, weekends, and holidays, made attending family gatherings difficult. In my early twenties I discovered the psychological and physical benefits of exercise, and decided I wanted to be able to help people achieve their fitness goals, which resulted in going back to school.  My education was geared toward a clinical setting, specifically helping special populations maintain an active and, as much as possible, independent lifestyle. One of my professors once said, “We rarely prescribe the same insulin to different people, why should exercise prescription be any different?” I hadn’t planned on entering corporate fitness, but I was having difficulty finding a place to utilize my knowledge in exercise science and my decade plus of customer service skills in the area that I was living in at the time. My family and I decided to relocate once I was hired as a Health Fitness Specialist at the Bartlesville Wellness Center, where I have been enjoying my career for the last two years.

B.S. in Human Performance from Oklahoma City University

Certification: EXOS Fitness Specialist, FiTour Group Exercise Certification

As a lifelong soccer player and collegiate athlete, I have played many positions in my soccer career. When I played for Oklahoma City University, during my senior year we won the Conference Championship. I had many internships in college including Bartlesville YMCA, Bartlesville Elder Care, and Oklahoma City University Strength and Conditioning facility. My training style is more focused on muscular endurance and body weight exercises. In my spare time, I really enjoy gardening, reading and learning more about psychology and ethics.

I was born and raised in the Kansas City area. Growing up I loved sports and I always wanted to be involved in athletics. As I got older, I shifted my focus solely onto basketball, always striving to be great. I was blessed for my diligence and accomplished many goals that I set out to do, including winning the state championship during my sophomore year. Going into college, I decided to take a step back from being an athlete and look for a career in the fitness world instead. What I enjoy most about my role here in the Wellness Center is training others to be the best version of themselves. I also greatly appreciate the variety that each day brings. I can’t wait to see what my future has in store for me.
