VPP Star

Created by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in 1982, the Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) set performance-based criteria for a managed safety and health system. It invites sites to apply and then assess applicants on their health and safety programs and performance. The highest certification a site can achieve is VPP Star status, signifying injury and illness rates well below the national average in their industry. Phillips 66 is proud of its more than 25 facilities that have achieved VPP Star status shown below.
