Phillips 66 Continental GmbH is a subsidiary of the American corporation Phillips 66 and a shareholder in the MiRO refinery in Karlsruhe (18.75%).
From its Hamburg location, Phillips 66 Continental manages and coordinates all activities for this refinery share. These include:
- the selection and logistics of crude oil;
- the operational planning of refinery production;
- the wholesale of manufactured products; and
- tasks in the area of bio-blending and compliance with statutory greenhouse gas quotas.
Phillips 66 Continental also has interests in other companies through various joint ventures related to the MIRO refinery. These include:
- GKG (wholesaler of energy products based in Germany
- Zeller (wholesaler of energy products based in France);
- TAL (Transalpine Oil Pipeline – Italy, Austria, and Germany); and
- SPSE (Société du Pipeline Sud-Européen – France);
- Phillips 66 Continental also has a stake in the joint venture with JET for the German gas station business.
