Passionate General Aviation Customer Soars Above and Beyond to Build Home for Wounded Veteran

Mike Amos, Partner at French Valley Hangars LLC., is helping to give one veteran family a sense of safety and community with a life-changing smart home. French Valley Hangars is a self-serve Avgas facility and branded General Aviation customer in Murietta, CA and has a strong history of donating, supporting and volunteering time to the Gary Sinise Foundation, a nonprofit with the mission to help the nation’s most severely wounded defenders, veterans, first responders and their families.

The foundation’s R.I.S.E. (Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment) initiative, helps build specially adapted smart homes for the most severely wounded heroes and provides home modifications, mobility devices, and specially adapted vehicles. Through Mike Amos’ commitment with the Gary Sinise Foundation’s R.I.S.E. initiative, a 100% mortgage-free, specially adapted smart home will be presented to veteran Jose Armenta and his family on Veterans Day. This one-of-a-kind forever home was built by MLA GENERAL CONTRACTOR, INC. to ease the daily challenges faced by Armenta and his family who sacrificed alongside him. While serving our country in the United States Marine Corps, Jose Armenta was deployed to several countries, including Afghanistan where he participated in over fifty combat missions with his bomb dog, Zenit. He medically retired from the Marine Corps in 2013.

Having a customized, smart-technology home will give the Armenta family the mobility to move freely and safely, providing everyone peace of mind.

Thank you to Mike Amos for the positive contributions to U.S. veterans in the Southern California community. His continued support has resulted in the building of 13 personalized smart-technology homes for veterans in Southern California.
