Keith Clark Recognized for Decades of Advancing Aviation Fuel Safety

Recognized for helping advance the future of aviation fuel safety, Keith Clark, senior quality control and technical representative at Phillips 66® Aviation, received the prestigious Business Aviation Meritorious Service Award at the 2026 Annual Flight Safety Foundation Business Safety Summit. 

This highly respected honor celebrates trailblazers who are elevating safety standards, driving meaningful change and helping propel business aviation forward through innovation, leadership and a relentless commitment to excellence. Clark now joins a distinguished group of aviation leaders, innovators and changemakers who continue influencing the future of flight safety.

Clark’s decades-long commitment to aviation fuel safety has helped shape industry conversations around misfueling prevention, fueling best practices and safety education. From championing the ‘Save a Life – Verify Fuel Type’ public service misfueling prevention campaign to supporting online training resources through TrustedFuel.com, Clark has helped keep fuel safety top of mind for pilots, FBOs and aviation professionals nationwide while reinforcing a stronger culture of safety across business aviation.

With more than 40 years at Phillips 66® Aviation, Clark has dedicated his career to advancing fuel quality standards, strengthening safe fueling practices and helping raise the bar for aviation fuel safety across the industry. Throughout the years, he has collaborated with industry groups, pilots, FBOs and aviation leaders to expand safety education, share best practices and help drive meaningful progress throughout business aviation.

Continuing that mission of education and industry engagement, Clark will next present “Bob Hoover: Perfecting Flight” at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. Attendees can hear him speak on Thursday, July 23, from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. at the EAA Museum Skyscape Theater. As Phillips 66® Aviation approaches its centennial milestone in 2027, Clark is looking toward the future by advancing fuel safety initiatives, strengthening quality assurance efforts and helping inspire the next generation of aviation professionals committed to keeping the industry flying safely forward.
